The transmission shifts smooth, AC is cold and the engine sounds great. All options and buttons function properly and does not have issues.
The Z4 sDrive35i gets a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-6 N54 that produces 300 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque, all mated to a dual-clutch 7-speed automated manual transmission with paddle shifters. BMW enthusiasts who follow the 135i and 335i know this N54 engine well; it powers those cars and it earned a great reputation as one of the most tunable production engines BMW had ever built. The EPA-estimated fuel economy is about 20mpg city and 26mpg hwy. In Edmunds testing, the 35i went from zero to 60 in about 5.2 seconds. The three-piece folding hardtop opens and closes in about 20 seconds and stows completely in the trunk.
