The 2011 Kia Sorento transitioned from a rugged body-on-frame SUV to a more comfortable, car-based crossover. It features seating for up to seven passengers, two engine options (a 2.4L four-cylinder and a 3.5L V6), and available AWD. It is praised for its styling, feature-to-price ratio, and fuel efficiency.
The EX is the highest trim level and features a smooth 6-speed automatic transmission. While the 2.4L 4-cylinder engine is standard, the EX shines with the optional 3.5L V6, which generates 276 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque. This V6 setup achieves an EPA-estimated 19 mpg city / 25 mpg highway and can tow up to 3,500 lbs.
